Confirmed DVP-SS2 Signal Assignment

Power the DVP-SS2 output reference by applying +24 VDC to the UP terminal and 0 VDC to the ZP terminal. Use Y0 as the NPN pulse output and Y1 as the NPN direction output.

PLC point Connection or function
UP +24 VDC
ZP 0 VDC
Y0 NPN pulse signal
Y1 NPN direction signal

Connection Procedure

  1. Connect +24 VDC to UP.
  2. Connect 0 VDC to ZP.
  3. Assign Y0 to the motion command's NPN pulse signal.
  4. Assign Y1 to the motion command's NPN direction signal.

Servo-Drive Interface Limitation

The available evidence identifies only the PLC-side supply references and output roles. It does not identify the Rexroth DKC**.040 input terminals, required signal levels, input polarity, pulse format, or isolation requirements. Do not connect Y0 and Y1 directly to the drive until the drive documentation confirms electrical compatibility with NPN pulse-and-direction outputs.

Verification Before Motion

With motion inhibited, verify that UP is at +24 VDC relative to ZP. Then confirm that Y0 switches as the pulse output and Y1 changes state with the commanded direction. Complete drive-side terminal and interface checks before enabling the servo.

FAQ

How do I power the Delta DVP-SS2 pulse outputs?

Apply +24 VDC to UP and 0 VDC to ZP.

Which DVP-SS2 outputs provide pulse and direction?

Use Y0 for the NPN pulse signal and Y1 for the NPN direction signal.

Can Y0 and Y1 connect directly to a Rexroth DKC**.040?

The evidence does not confirm the drive's terminal assignments or electrical compatibility. Verify that the selected drive inputs accept the DVP-SS2 NPN pulse-and-direction signals before wiring or enabling motion.
