Industrial panel PCs are industrial control computers designed for industrial use. Their basic performance and compatibility are like commercial computers. However, industrial panel PCs focus more on stability in different environments and require stability in harsh environments, such as dustproof, waterproof, antistatic, etc.
Fanless industrial panel PCs are generally designed to be noiseless / low power, and can be used in any system that requires a human-machine interface (HMI) for information input, display monitoring, or preview.
Fanless means that the cooling system uses a fanless design, which is inherently noiseless. However, the main reason for the use of fanless design has nothing to do with noise, but everything to do with reliability.
Advantages of fanless industrial panel PC:
- The all-aluminum alloy metal industrial chassis conforming to the “EIA” standard is used to enhance the anti-electromagnetic interference capability.
- There is no fan in the chassis and heat dissipation by the fins of the chassis, which greatly reduces the maintenance requirements of the system.
- It is equipped with a highly reliable industrial power supply and has overvoltage and overcurrent protection.
- Compact size and thin volume, so it can save working space.
- Various installation methods, such as rail installation, wall installation and desktop installation.
Although it isn’t normally possible to open a fanless PC and look at what’s inside, the manufacturer’s guarantee reflects their confidence in the product. Fanless PCs are inherently reliable and are specifically designed to run 24x7 for years on end. When you see a 5-Year Warranty (as we offer to our customer), you can deduce that the life of the product is at least expected to be that long.
The buildup of dust, which the fan may draw in, is one of the main problems with conventional PCs. This may condense on the processor's heat sink and cause overheating. Due to the limited number of entry points, fanless units are protected from dust. If you open one even after several years, you'll find very little dust inside.
Any computer's dependability depends on its weakest component. The entire system is rendered unusable if a chip capacitor, which costs less than a cent, fails. Reliability is a major issue for our customers. Failures incur expenses. Even if the PC doesn't need to be replaced, the system won't function with a simple reboot since it takes time. These are the main considerations you should make when buying an industrial grade PC.
